My post yesterday was inspired by the video above and which talks about mistakes that changed history. I particularly liked the one on Gavrilo Princip as I had incorrectly thought he had failed in the AM to kill Franz Ferdinand when, in fact, it was another co-conspirator. More to the point while it features Keith Hughes, it also brings in two newer people collectively known as That Was History that has both US and world history videos.
This post is a very nice video. It has started to make me wonder just what other mistakes have been made throughout history that if they were not made could have made the world different. The one about Archduke Ferdinand is really intriguing as I am taking an Eastern Europe history class right now and am at the point of that particular assassination happening. I wish I had paid attention in High School about what helped start WWI because when I was in the Army I spent some time in Sarajevo without even knowing that was the starting place of WWI. Thanks for this great post.
