America's First President?
Here is a nice video on John Hanson, president of the (Articles of) Confederation Congress.  The film is actually quite good and goes into nice detail about his one year turn.  It is a good discussion point with your students as to why we virtually ignore our first constitution and start with our "do over!"

Although I thought the video was good I had a few issues.
1. The Newburgh Conspiracy was stopped because George Washington refused to patricapte not really anything John Hanson did.
2. The title President of the United States and President of the United States in Congress Assembled, are two different titles that sound similar not the same title. (Although I admit the video does a good job explaing the difference between the two.)
3. We started over with everything not just the president. For example the Congress in 1789 was named the 1st Congress with the present being called the 111th.
