Duck and Cover Film This film starts w. Bert the Turtle and then talks about how one can be safe from nuclear bombs simply by "ducking and covering." The film was produced by the US government during the Cold War.

Nearby a nuclear blast, all is vaporized. Farther out, rooms erupt in all consuming flame. Yet farther, the blast knocks out windows.
"Duck and cover" protects from flying glass. Most casualties in the London Blitz were from glass shards (before safety glass).
Yet farther out and upwind, there is no local effect.
